Event Navigation

In October, Local Futures and Happy City join forces to host a remarkable event in Bristol for people who want to change ‘business as usual’. The Economics of Happiness Conference will look at the best current thinking about what needs re-shaping if we want an economy that produces flourishing lives on a thriving planet.

Notable strategists, activists and innovators from diverse walks of life will gather to exchange ideas about the problems, responsibilities and solutions as they see them.  Through their stories, insights and expertise – combined with yours – we’ll bid to address a growing web of related crises.

We will look beyond single-issue approaches and polarising politics to explore the foundations of  systemic change.  People at this conference will share the belief that issues like financial insecurity, epidemics of depression, erosion of democracy and even climate change can (and must) all be reversed. Our bond is a passion for reducing problems, even if we can’t completely fix them.

This highly participative event will feature films, workshops, forums and activities to explore the power of local responses to effect Big Picture change.

Early bird discount tickets available here.
